Giveaway time, that is! When I was in France, I picked up a couple copies of Marie Claire Idées. I had never heard of that particular magazine before I started reading blogs, but as soon as I saw it, it looked like my kind of thing. I picked up the most recent copy (at the time - looks like doe-c-doe has her hands on the newest one now!) for me. But it seemed to me that many of you already had your own copy of that one. [Though of course now I can only find one link to back that statement up! But really, I did see it in more than one place!]
I also picked up another Marie Claire Idées that they had at the bookstore. It's an 'Hors-Série' one for April (I know it's May now, but hey - we were gone all of April!) It's a special one all about babies. And no, there isn't something I've been holding back from you! I'm not having a baby, I just couldn't resist the magazine! Plus, my mom and I are hosting a baby shower this summer, so I could use that as my justification for buying it. :)
It has some great ideas in there about things for baby showers, as well as adorable baby gifts, and even some things that I would just like to make for me! I'm really hoping to try my hand at these cookies for the shower we're hosting:
I hadn't seen anyone post about this copy of Marie Claire Idées, so I picked up a second one for one of you! It's still wrapped in it's original packaging, and even has a free embroidery gift that comes with it:
You do not have to have a baby to enter. It has beautiful photography, and lovely ideas, and is so worth having even if you don't have a specific baby to make things for. :) All you have to do is leave me a comment. I'll leave it open for a week, and draw the winner next Saturday. Maybe I'll even use one of those random number generators to take it completely out of my hands. And ideas on where to find a good one?
Ok, folks. Enter by noon Minnesota time on Saturday, May 31st.
And can I just say, I am so obsessed with this magazine now? I gotta ask doe-c-doe where she gets hers here. Somehow I just don't think I'll be able to pull off a trip to France every three months to pick it up...
Well, I can't read French, but I could look at the pictures! Enter me please! Thank you.
ReplyDeletePlease enter me as well - I have several babies in my life I like to make things for so it would be great inspiration. {thanks!}
ReplyDeleteI actually have a subscription, through Amazon. But I have also seen it for sale at Borders {although I don't believe they get the special issues which I think is what the baby one is, nor are the special issues part of a regular subscription - so its great that you picked it up!}.
Please enter me, as well. I have seen this issue online, but I don't think I could find it in the bookstores. I'm having a hard time trying to find the regular issues. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had spied this magazine when we were in France!! Our trip to France was quick, maybe next time! *wink wink*
ReplyDeleteI love Marie Claire Idees, and I speak French! I stumbled on your site today and love it - please enter me in the contest!
ReplyDeleteI would love to enter your giveaway! I have longed for this magazine for such a long time!!!
ReplyDeleteHow incredibly gorgeous! I've never seen this magazine in person, but I jump from blog to blog looking for images from the latest issues. How kind of you to be offering one for a freebie!
ReplyDeletePlease enter me in your giveaway! This magazine looks great!
ReplyDeleteIf you like those cookies you should try to track down Peggy Porschen's Pretty Party Cakes - it's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to be entered for your draw - thank you!
Wow....no a France trip would be just a tad overkill for one magazine...but I would still like to read it -- I can read French, having 5 years of it :) Merci Beaucoup!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea for a giveaway! Include me please. I don't speak French but I know somone who does and they're going to be a Grandmother in a few months. It would make a great gift for her.
ReplyDeleteHello! I'm half french yet I don't speak it, the shame of my life. I do understand it though. Most people think i'm italian or spanish - but i cant speak those either.
ReplyDeleteI have tagged you on my blog. Hope you don't mind!

Give aways are a great way to hear from people who visit and meet new people. I have only had one but I had a ball! Good luck with it! Jen
